What is this "Theft Notice" section for?
« on: 05:54PM 10/20/2008 »
This is a new board on the forums for members to post information about stolen vehicles.  The idea is that other members may be able to help out.

This section will also receive automatic theft feeds from a theft notice network I've been setting up.

Admins of other car related forums/sites
If you are interested in having automatic feeds update to your forum or site just PM me and I'll give you the info on our notification network and how it works.

Jesus. I was just thinking something like this should be set up with all the thefts lately. Good call.
When it comes to cars, you have three options: Fast, Cheap, and Reliable. And you can only pick two.

Cool.  Thanks.  If you want to add the feed the link is http://www.theftnotice.com/feed/rss.

Hit up any admins you know if they can help us grow the network.

Buy some ad time on honda-tech. That's a banner I could see people clicking on...

No way.  I've done that before for other sites.  H-T is the worst ROI adspace ever, because they do it by impressions.  $50 lasts about an hour.

Ugh? Really? I retract my statement.

Yep.  I've used them twice about a year go.  Spend $200 on one and $50 on another.  $200 didn't even last me half a day.

InternetBrands takeover of honda-tech summoned the forces of GDD to promote FireFox to the point that the majority of HT regulars no longer have banner ads. I wouldn't promote on honda-tech for that reason alone.

Out of curiousity, did you get any referrals from honda-tech?

Nope.  I would consider H-T one of the worst ROI/investment opportunities to advertise through.  Considering that I do internet marketing for a living, that says a lot.
