According to mitsubishi's website the evo is coming out in "mid winter", whatever the hell that means but apparently isn't now, so that covers this bit:

But back on topic: couldn't just mitsubishi throw awd on the current model? 263hp v6, 6 speed transmission, and awd sounds pretty tempting to me. But a lot of things appeal to me that don't appeal to anybody else
