WTB: basic laptop

I want to buy a laptop.  All I really need it for is to view discs and surf the net.  I'll install everything else.  Anyone have an old one?

Oh, that'd be cool.  I'm not looking for anything fancy.  eBay has a few basic ones in the $300 dollar range, but I'm iffy buying one down the eBay route.
