2008 Scion xB
Scion has announced pricing for the all-new 2008 xB. The xB models equipped with a manual transmission will have an MSRP of $15,650, which marks an 11.5% increase from the previous xB’s price of $14,030. The MSRP for the automatic-transmission models will be $16,600, an increase of 11.9% from the previous automatic model.
The all-new xB will be powered by a 2.4L dual overhead-cam four-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i), which produces 158 hp. The xB will ride on an all-new chassis and is a foot longer and almost three inches wider than its predecessor. Mark Templin, Scion vice president, said that “owner feedback was a tremendous asset in helping us build the second-generation xB” and that the new xB has a “healthy dose of attitude.”
Some of the standard features of the xB include: Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with Traction Control (TRAC); four-wheel disc brakes; tire-pressure monitoring system; driver and front-passenger dual-stage airbags; 16-inch steel wheels; 160-watt maximum output Pioneer audio system with iPod connectivity and a mini-jack port; and power steering, windows and door locks.
