Topic: Good Guys/Bad Guys

I think there should be a Good Guys/Bad Guys section for people to tell what they think about shops/people.  So they don't get screwed like others or themselves have.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I mean seriously, if someone gets screwed over by some shop and its been happening others too, I'd want to know before I chose a place to get my car worked on. Even tho I live in TN it'd still help most of us

i think the shop naming isnt good i think u should say i had a bad experiance at a shop in blah blah state and town and if they person wants to know they should just pm u know waht i mean dont want to cause drama

I don't think so.  I've been dicked around with for a while now.  And I'm pissed.  I don't care if it causes drama for the shop that has my car.  They probably deserve it.  It's all about making sure they get the bad reputation they deserve.  As for the shop I've had a problem with, I'm sure you've seen my posts about my "car update" and "legal help"  threads and know what's going on.  So I say screw IAW for dicking me around.

I agree that you are entitled to get the word about a bad shop.  I'm totally for giving someone what they deserve if they screw you.  Especially you.  You always get the bad end of the deal  

I don't care if it causes drama for the shop that has my car.  They probably deserve it.

But it does cause drama for this site.  That's why we got rid of the Consumer Experiences section.  If the site were as diverse as we aspire, in having more members from all over, it wouldn't hurt to name shops here and there.  But since we're kinda' local everyone knows everyone and then everyone wants to bash on eachother.  I don't think it's fair to others.

The last thing I want to do is go to a site full of drama... let alone, my own site.  Just like the guys above said, they would be interested.  Those that want to find out will ask.  You're more than welcome to make a post saying that you've been screwed and what happened and then say to IM you for the shop name and/or more info.

Ok.  Then from now on when we take our cars to a shop we should just post something like "[shop name] Good or Bad" then ask for PMs for anything bad that has happened.  How's that?

Make a post saying that you got screwed and what happened.  Offer info if people want.  But we can't have drama on the boards anymore.
