Anyone used the "universal" fender flares?
« on: 11:59AM 08/09/2003 »
Here's an example:

Has anyone used these or installed them for anyone else?

ive seen those. are they the ones you rivet on then cover with bondo or something? not really my taste, but they wouldn't look too bad with a nice body kit or something.
They tell you shadows are the place to hide, but listen: No one looks into the sun.

I'm not so sure about universal anything. I've also heard that those fenders don't stay on very well. You could always try them and see if you like them or not.
I may be a chick but I can smoke you!

From my experience, universal is never universal. When I was working on my 77 GMC, even the parts that were factory original didn't fit right. I was drilling new holes, cutting out holes, and making the parts fit.
Don't give up what you want most for what you want now.  It's a matter of priorities.
