a BOV is a BOV is a BOV, they're all the same. as long as it's good quality and gets the boost out without breaking, its good.

and turboXS is probably on the lower end of the quality scale.

FAC, no offense but, STFU and just get your dam turbo kit installed and tuned. I am sure no matter what kit you get, it will come with a decent BOV and other components. Also, there are a few TXS BOV's if I am not mistaken. The RFL BOV stands for Real f u c k i n Loud, and it's named that for a reason. Honestly, just use the BOV that comes with whatever package you get unless it is a real piece o' s h i t. It just seems that you are wanting to change the BOV for a LOUDER sound. Once again, no offense, but WANTING a BOV just for the louder sound, IMHO is RICE!

I would have to agree with JP, if the kit comes with one...just use it, there's no reason to go out and get another one...is there???

My kit comes with one if I want it to. But im not really impressed with the Max Rev BOV, so im looking into others, to see if I want to substitute it out. I was just curious about what people were thinking, thanks Twinner. I did kinda want to stay away from the Type S though, nothing personal, just looking into other things.

what didn't impress you about the maxrev BOV? is it the fact that it's not annodized purple, or that it doesnt sound like youre having a tire blown out every time you let off the gas? no offense, but it's pretty d a m n obvious that you don't care about what BOV you have, just as long as it comes with the brand name bling.

FAC you asked everyones opinion and you got it. You didn't like it and now you are done with the thread? It sounds like you already have your mind made up. Like b said a BOV is a BOV is a BOV. So go get the bling and rice combo meal and you will be happy with it. But dont expect us to lay down and not tease you about it.

I don't give a s h i t about sound.  Only two important questions.  One, does it leak? Two, how does it drive?

All BOV's are not created equal.  I've had three different ones, and maybe I'm just a jack a s s, but they didn't all operate the same.

Four choices:

Take your pick.

If you are looking for opinions then that's what you're going to get...opinions, and they'll vary from person to person and from brand to brand of BOV all depending on what someones experience with the BOV has been.  If you want more than opinions check out some tech articles or books on turbo setups and BOV's on the internet...I'm sure within less than an hour you'll have more info than you ever wanted.

Don't give up what you want most for what you want now.  It's a matter of priorities.

Since FAC may be done with the thread I'll ask sunflashx the question...how do those tials compare to say, IMO the more popular, type S bov?

I said it in the other thread, but Garrett now sells Tial stuff as accessories to their turbos.  The build quality on their products is killer.

You can't pipe the vented air back into the intake though, and on a car with a Mass Air Sensor that's no good.  Got to vent back into the intake since it's "counted air".
