Utah's BEST Mustang is off to a new home . . .
« on: 10:18PM 03/07/2006 »
A friend of mine (Jeff Hexem) built up a 2004 Mustang Cobra SVT Convertible Custom. It seems to me he said that he had about $100,000.00 invested in the car. It just won the Full Modified Convertible Class at the AutoRama. It has a 4.6 liter V8, 510 horsepower, and a 6-speed tranny.

Kindigit did the body work and there are more photos of the car on their Web site (http://www.kindigit.com/).

Tyler got some shots of it when Jeff had the car out at RMR last year (http://tcgphoto.smugmug.com/gallery/1172018/5).

He's got it for sale with the Barrett Jackson Auction company and is due to hit the auction floor in Florida later this month. Anybody with deep pockets or a thick checkbook?

I hate to see such a nice (Utah) Mustang go!  :(

Dang that was a nice Mustang... If I had the money, I'd buy it and keep it... I really liked it.

I forgot the link to the auction place in Florida. Check out the photo of the interior!

Not a bad price for the car.  Still more than 50grand less than he invested in it, so it really wasn't much of an investment, eh?

I would have expected to get more money from it than 46K though.  The '94 Hennesey Venom 600 that I used to detail only sold for $45K.  However, it is nice to know that if I am willing to wait ten or twelve years then I can get a $100K supercar for half the investment price.  :)  Time to start saving up I guess.
