Everything about your chevrolet

If you own a vehicle, i'm sure you want to know just about everything you can about it. Correct? Correct!

So this is my attempt to fish any kind of information we need regarding Chevrolet's.

From clubs, diagnostics, usual problems, suggested after-market effects, anything (and I literally mean any) you know about a chevrolet, let's help each other out.

As oddly as it sounds the little information you know is probably exactly what someone else is hoping to find

SO LET IT BEGIN! ;)

I'd say engine info would be good.  We need to get OL's a s s on here.  He knows a lot about engines.

Well I mean anything.

i.e.: I'm hoping someone knows how to remove the bowtie emblem from my grill and open it up so I can paint it black and then get it all put back together and in place like it was done professionally. That's what I mean by anything

Wear the bow tie w/ pride man :).

Engine wise, wow, there are tons, haha. Basically split up int o3 gens. You have your first gen which is pretty much all engines until the mid-80's or so, then the 2nd gen motors were your LT1's and similar motors, then your third gen are the LS1's and similar motors. I know they are doing something to the engines here soon where they shut off half cylinders or something and I am not sure if that's new technology, or a trick w/ the current. So there maybe even be a 4th now, haha.

Mods.....prob. the most modded cars out there are Chevys. They were the mod cars in the late 60's and early 70's and continue to be so. There is too much to list (obviously) so a more specific thread on your car would be nice.

Brian, can you not buy a black bowtie anywhere? I am sure it'd just be like all those multi-colored Honda emblems you see around....

I bet I could find somebody that makes them, but I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone on this. Learn how to pull my grill out and maybe learn some other little nifty tricks about my truck. That's always a benefit of doing everything on your own
