200SX - SR20DE/GA16DE
Sentras of the same year - GA16DE

So.... nope, not the same.

Yes they are the same thing ran. at least in the B14 Chassie when they seperated the Sentra Sedan and Coupe by giving the coupe the 200sx name. They built the SE-R model though only in the 200sx in the b14 chassie. thats the model that has the SR20DE. all the base 200sx's and Sentras had the GA16DE. However in 98 and 99 Nissan built the SE and SE-L models in the Sentra. Which did have the SR20DE in them also. So to answer your quesion. Yes they are the same car. the 200sx basically being the coupe Sentra.
