Rims for Integra
« on: 12:59PM 03/27/2005 »
Ok maybe this is a stupid question, but I'm looking at buying an '01 Integra - can you put 18" rims on them? Or is 17" the biggest you can fit on em?

yes you can. however its not recommended that you go anymore then two up from the stock size, you can get away with it though and be fine...worse thing would be your speedo would be off by a few... no big deal.
if you want thought i have some brand new 17x7 centerline RPMS still in the box, never been mounted. I also have some YOKO AVS ES 100's to go with em... really good set up, let me know if your interested.

If you don't have/plan on having a drop then you should be ok with 18's.  If you drop it though you could probably only get away with 17's and they might rub a little.  I can't remember what size Corey had on his.  I'm pretty sure he had 18's.  I have 17's on my Civic w/ a drop and I'm about as close as it can go and still be ok.

No you won't be fine...the car will ride like a freaking tank, your turning radius will be reduced to nothing, the wheels will rub your wheel wells...all and all just don't do it.  I would have a hard time putting 17's on the teg...we had 18's on for less than a week it was horrible.  Plus with 18's you will be scratching on every little bump on the road.

Don't do 18's....they're so 1998!! lol Plus 15's or 16's with fat sticky tires are way more sexy anyway.

I'm partial to Rota GT3's, they just reek of sex:

I'm actually quite fond of 16's...
When it comes to cars, you have three options: Fast, Cheap, and Reliable. And you can only pick two.

17s look really good on an Integra.  18 just doesn't look as good.  Its too much wheel for the car.  Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.  There are a lot of freaks out there who bolt crap to their cars just because Checker had a sale.  Don't put 18s on the car just because they make them with your bolt pattern.  If your car is dropped then don't go with anything larger than 17.

I had 18's. They rode fine. They are all bent now but I loved they way they looked and the way they felt on FLAT roads. Any bumps and the ride goes to hell.

Hell.  Get some 20's.  Cut out the plastic under the fender and rear wheel wells so you can tuck them to the extremem!!!
