FS: 17" Katana C5 (lots of pics) (sold)
« on: 07:29PM 02/07/2005 »
Well, I finally decided to sell the Integra.  I have loved that car for nearly 6 years now, but it was time to move up and move on.  I sold the teg on Saturday and bought a Legacy GT today.  I don't know that I'll win any shows with a brand new car, but you just wait.  Its going to be a smooooooooooth looking Subie before you know it. ;)  Anyway, since my new ride is a 5 lug and I don't think my summer wheels look very good on my wife's Accord, I need to sell them so I can tint my windows and get an HID conversion.

I'd like to sell these locally in Utah. Shipping is too much of a pain in the a s s.  So if you can't drive to Taylorsville to pick them up, then I'm sorry.  I really don't want to mess with shipping.  I'm sure shipping is like 20 bucks extra a wheel anyway.  I'm asking $500 for the four rims and tires.  I've got two extra rims with brand new center caps that I'll sell for an additional $150 if you want those too.  My wife curbed two of my rims once and she bought me new ones.  I used the same center caps from the old ones when I changed over, so I still have two new center caps.  These rims can't be found anymore and the repair should be around a hundred bucks if you want to fix them.  I only took a picture of the one damaged one, but they both look identical.  So that is $650 if you want all six rims.  You could have a full size spare or at least extras in case you curb these worse than my wife curbed mine.

The tires are OK.  You will probably want to think about getting some new ones soon.  I don't know much about tires really.  These aren't bald or anything, but I wouldn't want to have them on in the snow.  Here are some pictures of everything.  They are just sitting in my garage right now.  First $500 takes em.

Here are the center caps.  They are really cool.  The largest part actually screws on to the wheel and then the nut part screws down on top of it to conceal the screws.  You need a special PVC socket thing to get the nut off, so they are really secure and theft proof.  There is absolutely zero danger of these babies flying off.  The two extra center caps I have are from when I replaced the two curbed ones.  I used the same centercaps off the old ones and kept the new ones in the box.  They have never been installed and are mint.  Since you can't get these wheels anymore, centercaps are highly valuable.  I've seen them go for $80 bucks apiece on ebay.  Just in case you lose one or it gets damaged you'll have an extra.

The rims are in perfect shape.  Zero curb rash or damage anywhere.  They have been well cared for and protected since day one.  Washed weekly and sealed regularly.  You won't find a cleaner set of rims in Utah.

Let me know if you are interested.  I live in Taylorsville and am home at about 5:00 every day.  I'm more than happy to show them to you or whatever.  Call me with any questions.  671-4476  Email me if you are interested or want to see more pictures of the rims on my car.  jngrbrdman@hotmail.com

Darn... I was hoping you were going to say you had two extra tires.  I need two tires for my 17's.  :(

Yeah, I wish I had two extra tires.  You wouldn't believe what I had to go through to get the guy at Firestone to understand that I just wanted the tires taken off the two damaged rims and put on the two new rims.  He just wasn't getting it....  For some reason he thought I wanted to dispose of two of my tires and buy new ones to put on the new rims.  Typical Firestone bonehead...
