There are a few japanese engine importers in SL that would mostly likely be able to get one for you.
To really understand something you must blow it up, and  fully examine the tiny particles while they are still on fire.

Import Japanese Engines
(801) 293-0111 943 Jewell Ave
Salt Lake City, UT

Import Engine Service
(801) 484-1370 2212 S West Temple # 34
Salt Lake City, UT

Metric Motors
480 N 1000 W
Centerville, UT 84014
801-295-6999

Those are just a few of the many I have found on google.  There are a lot of companies that will import low mileage Japanese engines.  I am sure you could sweet talk them into getting just about any engine you wanted.

I have one, $100 and it's yours. No more AE86's for me, this one was a spare. Needs to change a few gaskets like oilpan/valve cover, but it's a good motor.

If you want, you could take the head off of your 4A-C motor and swap a GE head onto it, it'll be lower compression good for turbo. The only differences in the internals are lower compression and the 4A-C has 6 flywheel bolts instead of 8, but it utilizes the same clutch. You also need to swap the oil pans (4A-GE has oil cooler), the alternator, the PS pump, the crank/waterpump pulleys, and the brackets for the PS/alt. Also note the headbolts are different, the GE uses 10mm 12 point bolts and the C uses 12mm 6 pt bolts, use the GE cuz the GE head is taller, thus the headbolts are a tad longer. IDK what you wanna do, but this is a suggestion, I've done many of these due to limited supply of 4A motors when the AE86 kept blowing motors from excessive boost.

Well the thread starter didn't help much by posting in after the one year bump.

it's not my fault everyone mis-read 2004 as 2005.  hell, i ignored damon and rans posts.  then jerry mentioned places here in sl so i jumped in.

and i am happy this thread came alive again cause i've been pricing motors from various online retailers.  now i have a physical shop i can walk into and say "hey, how much would it cost for you guys to import this motor?"

4age's are EVERYWHERE.

If you're going to pay the price of importing a motor, might as well go 20v :)

This information is the best compilation of 4AGE I've seen. I hope you find this as valuable as I have. There is much more information on both the 2000 3SGE
