My Sister-In-Law's 2000 Integra GSR Red in color was stolen last night.

I don't have much of a description, but I think it had stock wheels, Altezza style tails, and was stolen last night out of her lot in Layton.

Right behind Tepanyaki Japanese restaurant.

If anyone has info let me know, or if any sightings are found (I know there's tons of Red Integras with Altezzas).

She had an alarm, but it wasn't enough.

Yet another Honda/Acura stolen from someone we know, and another reason to take extra precautions.

Thanks for your help!

Ideal situation: I hope they find the car with the theft beaten to death on the inside by a fellow theft victim...with new rims put on it. ;)
When it comes to cars, you have three options: Fast, Cheap, and Reliable. And you can only pick two.

That totally sucks. The guy we sold our EFI PMS to had his car stolen too. Lazy SOB's- they need to find a job and earn what they get like the rest of us.

Sorry to hear that! I swear if I ever catch anyone trying to steal my car or anything like that I'll kill them or somthing. Cops don't do anything about it, so it keeps on happening. They need to set some traps up for the thieves? These stories make me sad!

That totally blows.  Hopefully she can get her car back in one piece.

Re: STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT!! RECOVERED
RECOVERED:

Recovered tonight October 7th, in Salt Lake City.

It was recovered at a Car stripping ring.  Its interior was stripped but they hadn't gotten to the mechanicals yet.  Still Starts and Runs. But has no seats doorpanels or radio.

We'll have to see what the Insurance company ends up doing... Most theft recoveries get totalled by default, if it does I'd like to try and buy it out (typically really cheap cause they scar the title)

I'll let you know as things develop.

It's cool that they found it but it sucks that it was already partially stripped. I hope the insurance company if fair. It would be nice to get a good deal on the car though if they total it. If I recovered my stolen car and would sue the sob's

That's great that they found your friends car...too bad it was stripped down a little.  Hopefully he has a good insurance company that is good to work with.

That's cool they found it.  Especially considering how much worse it could have been.  What you mean by car stripping ring?

man, after going throught what i did with my insurance company when my Si was stolen, i'd never let them total a car again. it could have been fixed and restored for $9000, but they insisted on totaling it for 11,000. i just got tired of trying to convince them.

When my truck was totalled they tried to give me only $11,000 I threw a fit, and ended up with $18000  But could have got $20000... Hindsight is 20/20.

Statefarm is actually a very good insurance company to have.  I had no suplemental insurance, and they covered nearly $10,000 worth of aftermarket.

@Damon:  That's what the police mentioned... They've been narrowing down this "Ring" for sometime now, they wouldn't let my brother go to look at his car, he had to wait for it to be removed, then he could look at it.  I'm assuming it's an organized car stripping operation.  Basically where you can sell stolen vehicles.

???

I don't know the details...
