EDIT: just read that post, that sucks. im definitly keeping an eye out, there aren't very many red EK's with CTR wing and Mugen grille around here.

Yeah, it sucked bad... Worse thing that's ever happened to me (next to family deaths).

I cried like a 4 year old girl.

So I definitely simpathize with the stolen vehicle, and I will keep my eyes open. And what's the deal with LOCAL honda's being stolen and stripped? Is there "that" much money in it?

I mean mine they didn't bother stealing anything (but an optima battery, and an Action packer full of food) They left the stereo (sort of) it was busted up... $10K dollars worth, yipee.

My Honda has had 2 theft attempts.

I also wonder, why is Honda auto theft so high lately?

Like d!ck said, there cant be that much money in them..

Anyone care to elaborate?

With honda's, there easy to steal and strip and everyone wants parts from them so it's also easy to sell the parts. Plus theres ebay, I don't know really but thats my thought on it. Sorry about your truck, that's terrible, and I will be on the look out for the red hatch. I have also had 1 attempt to steal my car and the feeling sucks but I'm sure it would be 100X's worse if they got my car, so sorry to hear about your guy's cars/truck.

well, estimating what the parts taken off my Si go for, whoever took it made at least $1,500 assuming they sold everything they took.

the reason why honda's are stolen so often is because they're incredibly easy to steal. my Si was gone in about 10-15 minutes and it even had a factory alarm. they also have very strong aftermarket support, which makes them even more valuable to a theif, and the majority of their parts are interchangeable with a lot of different honda's and acuras.

Yeah that blows to have your car stolen and your truck vandalized. I can say I know the pain...the 1st of June will be one year since my truck was stolen...I've never seen it or ever heard anything more of it. Vandals and thieves need a punishment fitting the crime!

Yeah, that's Brendan's(veggiemasters) car. He is a good friend of mine, sad to see it has been stolen in the middle of the day in a busy parking lot. Those rims he has used to be on my Si too.

Can vandals suck @$$! I've never had anything happen THAT bad, but it does suck.

We just need to shoot of the sons of beetches! I can't stand car theives and vandalizers. Sorry to hear about that. I know that car, but not the driver.

Crazy... the first of June is my 3 year anniversary, of my trucks demise. Atleast I had my insurance claim taken care of within a month. But my heavens was there first offer sure off.

That does suck. I would probably cry like a 4-year old girl too if my car was stolen or vandalized. It's not very often a stolen vehicle is returned or ever seen again- usually they strip them and sell the parts.

ouch, that sucks. Makes me wanna put a GPS locater thingy in/on my car so if it's stolen, I can findout exactly where it is. Do they even make things like that for cars? That would be nice to just hook it up sumwhere in your car where u couldn't get to it easily (inside the dash for example). If your car got stolen when you were say in smiths, you could call the cops, jett home, and get the exact location by means of the internet or sumthin. Maybe even a locator on your keychain....many possabilities, haha.

Anyone know anything about this? If it was only 200 or so bucks, wouldn't be a bad investment at all IMO.

Yep they have it. On Star does it, and another company like onstar, don't remember what it's called... Then alpine alarms (some) are capable of it (my truck had a capable alarm) But then you have to pay a subscription charge, and have to have in car navigation (in alpine's case, not on star)

But in anycase, they've got it.

they have it... we put them in our cars at work. You have to pay a monthly fee. But it would be worth it for sure...
