Elite Rides has been asked to exclusively run the compact events at the U92 Cinco De Mayo Custom Car Show & Concert. The show will be taking place May 2nd, 2004 at the Utah State Fairgrounds. The show is going to be heavily promoted and is going to be a huge event. The show will be promoted on U92, Power 107.9 and the Blaze 94.9. Doors open at 11 a.m. The judging/concert begins around 12 Noon and the day will wind down around 6 p.m.

The concert has yet to be announced but, I will give you the inside information.

Hip-Hop artist TECH N9NE will be performing live. There are more acts to be announced but, we have to save some surprises.

Only the best of the best. This will be an exclusive event. We will be capping the compact cars at 50 entries. Pre-Registration is strongly encouraged! Because this is more than just a show, but also an all day event, those interested in entering their car receive CAR ENTRY FREE with the purchase of their concert tickets. FREE CAR SHOW ENTRY! If you are interested in purchasing tickets to the event and entering your vehicle you can purchase tickets from EliteRides. You may contact us by e-mailing info@eliterides.com or by calling us at 801-808-RIDE (7433). Tickets are $25 each or 2 for $40. Those interested in purchasing tickets without entering their car in the show may purchase their tickets at all SmithsTixx outlets. Classes that may enter are Sport Compacts (Euro), Classics, Luxury & SUV's, LowRiders and Bikes (both Cruiser/Harley-style and Sport/Bullet bikes). Awards will be given in each class for 1st, 2nd and Best Of Show. In addition to awards, each place will also take home: Best Of Show - $150, First Place - $100 and Second Place - $50.

Hey Damon,

For this show is the classes going to be broken down such as for the cars

2 door mild
2 door wild
4 door mild
4 door wild
Domestic class
etc.

or is is just all the cars against each other and all the truck against each other, such as that

Since there are so many classes (compacts, mini trucks, classics, low riders, etc,) the promoter for the event felt it most appropriate not to "drag" out the day by organizing/announcing that many more categories per class. So, as you mentioned, it will be all mini trucks vs mini trucks, all compacts vs compacts, etc. The only thing that everyone is up against everyone for is the Best of Show. That answer it?

Mike informed me roll in is from 7-10. Question can we bring coolers with our own drinks and stuff because if we have to be there all day. I don't want to pay the high prices for drinks

Yeah, the doors open for those entering their vehicles at 7a.m. The doors for the public do not open until 11a.m. The earlier you arrive the better. We will be cutting off entry at 9:30a.m. so that we can be done by 10a.m.

I hear you on the high prices. I just called the promoter and, unfortunately, he says that security will not allow any outside food, water or coolers. $:-\$

Hes not sure what he wants to do. He has done a lot of things to his ride and he doesn't want everyone to know about them because he likes to race and surprise people. His ride is pretty quick.

His ride is completely show worthy Since he just got it out of the shop two weeks ago with a new paint job so its extremely clean

There will be designated ares for each class. However, it is first come first serve beyond that. If you guys all want to head out together that'd be cool because then we can get your parked by eachother.

Looks like me and some friends at meeting up at Layton mall at 10:00 to drive down together. Some more people from SLC are meeting us at Carls Jr on State (2nd South) at 10:30 an then we're all gonna head over to the show.
