The 95-96 turbo Eclipses have grey along the bottom. 97-99 Eclipses have the bigger wings, so that is how you can tell

The 4G63 is a bad a s s motor. I would agree that you would have to beat on it pretty hard to break it. I was looking at getting a GSX they are sweet cars. I love his car. VERY CLEAN (from the pics at least)

its not that the engine its self breaks, its things like axles, sensors, just stupid little things that take a lot of time to fix.

That would be a pain in the a s s. It seems there is always a problem that gets overlooked with performance cars.

The amount of broken parts on a DSM is usually directly related to the owners driving style. That or thinking a 10 year old car that is handling significantly more power than stock needs only new performance parts to keep it running.

Once you hit the mid-low 11 second area you generally start to have transmission breakage issues.

Maybe some people put the bigger wing on the 95-96 Eclipses, but its not stock.

I like the style of the 97-99 better than the 95-96

I haven't heard people having too many problems with them. You are going to have problems with any older car or racing car. My teg is a 2001 and we have had problems with it because of the upgrades. Anytime you make upgrades you are bound to have parts that are not strong enough to support the upgrade.

LOL. Thats my car........ Thnx Sean. BTW, ya i got a pretty pimpin deal on it. But, try finding a 95+ GSX 5 spd within 1k miles of Utah. About as ez as finding HP in Seans hatch. JK JK. It has just a custom 3" cat-back, FPIK. But i just orderd a bunch of stuff for it (UICP, gauges, Boost controller, BOV, wires, plugs, etc.)
